Rajshahi, Nov 13 (V7N) — Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman has called on members of the Bangladesh Infantry Regiment (BIR) to prepare for the challenges of the 21st century by acquiring advanced skills through modern and technology-driven training.
He made the remarks while addressing the 20th Annual Commanders’ Conference of the Bangladesh Infantry Regiment at the Rajshahi Cantonment on Thursday (November 13).
Highlighting the regiment’s glorious legacy and dedication to the nation, General Waqar-uz-Zaman praised its continued commitment to upholding discipline and professionalism in national service.
During an exchange of views with officers, the Army Chief discussed key issues including technological modernization, research, professional skill development, and the regiment’s future strategic plans.
Earlier, upon his arrival at the BIRC conference room, General Waqar-uz-Zaman was received by senior army officials with a ceremonial welcome.
