New Delhi, Nov 20 (V7N) — Bangladesh is firmly against any form of foreign interference in its internal affairs and remains committed to maintaining a zero-tolerance stance against terrorism, National Security Advisor Dr. Khalilur Rahman said on Thursday.
He made the remarks while speaking at the Colombo Security Conclave held in New Delhi, where regional security cooperation and counterterrorism were key discussion points.
A day earlier, Dr. Khalilur Rahman, who also serves as the High Representative for Rohingya Affairs, met with Indian National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. During the meeting, he extended an invitation to Doval to visit Bangladesh at a mutually convenient time.
This visit marks the second official trip by an advisor to India since the interim government led by Professor Muhammad Yunus assumed office in August last year. Previously, Energy Advisor Muhammad Fauzul Kabir Khan visited India to attend the India Energy Week in February.
