According to Awami League sources, the candidates who won the January 7 election will take the oath of office on Wednesday, January 10.

The Parliament Secretariat has already started getting ready to greet the incoming legislators.

By Tuesday, the Election Commission (EC) will release a gazette notification with the names of newly elected members of the 12th Parliament. The new members must take the oath within three days of the gazette's publication, per the statute.

The deadline for scheduling the session is 30 days. On the other hand, there is no deadline for the gazette's publishing.
