Dhaka, Dec 29 (V7N) — Chief Justice Zubair Rahman Chowdhury will deliver a speech to judicial officers across the country on December 30, according to a memorandum issued by the Training Branch of the Law and Justice Department under the Ministry of Law.

The memorandum, which has been published on the official website of the Law Ministry, states that on the advice of the Supreme Court, nominations have been issued to all district and session judges, metropolitan session judges, chief judicial magistrates and chief metropolitan magistrates to attend the event.

The speech delivery ceremony will be held at the Supreme Court Auditorium at 10:00 am on December 30.

Earlier, Justice Zubair Rahman Chowdhury of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court was appointed as the 26th Chief Justice of Bangladesh. The notification regarding his appointment was issued by the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs on December 23.

According to the notification, the appointment took effect from the date he took the oath of office.
