Dhaka, Jan 09 (V7N)- BNP candidate Manjurul Ahsan Munshi has filed an application with the Election Commission (EC) seeking the cancellation of the nomination of Hasnat Abdullah, chief organizer of the National Citizens Party (NCP) southern region, for the Comilla-4 (Debidwar) constituency in the upcoming 13th National Parliament election.

Manjurul Ahsan Munshi submitted the application to the EC on Friday (January 9).

Earlier, on Thursday, the Chamber Court suspended a High Court order that had removed Manjurul Ahsan Munshi’s name from the list of loan defaulters. The order was issued by Chamber Justice Md. It is noteworthy that Friday is the final day for filing appeals against the acceptance or rejection of nomination papers for the 13th National Parliament election. The hearing of appeals will begin on January 10 and continue until January 18, according to the election schedule announced by the Election Commission.
