Rangpur, Feb 23 (V7N)- Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu has assured that the government will work to eliminate budget disparities in the Rangpur region and ensure balanced development across all districts.
He made the remarks during a press briefing following a meeting with administrative officers and local political figures at the Rangpur Divisional Commissioner's office on Monday (February 23) afternoon.
Asadul Habib Dulu, a native of Rangpur, said, “I will ensure there is no discrimination in the budget. The Honorable Prime Minister has called this a promising region. Industries and factories will be established here to create employment, and Rangpur will not be left behind. Development will be on par with other regions, God willing.”
He added that the government has planned 180 days for development initiatives in each district of Rangpur division. He urged cooperation from local officials and stakeholders to ensure that past disparities and public grievances are addressed, and the region does not suffer discrimination in the future.
Earlier during the meeting, the minister also discussed issues related to law and order and the local drug situation, providing instructions to officials on effective measures to address these challenges.
