Dhaka, Mar 18 (V7N) – The government has issued an official notification distributing the responsibilities of various ministries during the absence of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman. The decision was published in the official gazette on Tuesday.
According to the notification, the arrangement will remain in effect until further orders to ensure uninterrupted functioning of parliamentary affairs across ministries and departments in the National Assembly.
In the Prime Minister’s absence, the Minister in charge of the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, will assume the responsibilities of the Prime Minister’s Office.
Meanwhile, duties related to the Ministry of Defense, the Cabinet Division, and the Armed Forces Division, normally overseen by the Prime Minister, will be performed by Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed during the Prime Minister’s absence.
