Dhaka, Mar 21 (V7N) – Special prayers were offered at the National Eidgah Maidan following the main Eid-ul-Fitr congregation, seeking an end to ongoing conflicts in Muslim countries and peace across the world.

The munajat was conducted after the Eid prayers, where worshippers prayed for relief from war and unrest, particularly mentioning the ongoing tensions involving Iran and attacks attributed to the United States and Israel.

The sermon was delivered by Mufti Muhammad Abdul Malek, Khatib of the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque. In his address, he prayed:

“O Allah, protect people from the fitnah and corruption of the world. Protect people from war and chaos. Establish peace in the world. Give Muslims the strength to face all situations together.”

Highlighting the plight of Muslims in different parts of the world, he called on Muslim countries to stand in solidarity and take urgent steps to protect those facing oppression.

Prayers were also offered for the peace, prosperity, and unity of the Muslim Ummah, as well as for the overall well-being, security, and happiness of all people.

The congregation was attended by the President Md. Shahabuddin and the Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, along with thousands of devotees.
