DHAKA, April 1, (V7N) — BNP Secretary General and Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has expressed deep sorrow at the passing of Advocate Md. Nazrul Islam, Tax Advisor and former General Secretary of the Thakurgaon District Association in Dhaka.

In a condolence message, Mirza Fakhrul said Advocate Nazrul Islam was widely respected as a wise, honest, and principled lawyer, who also demonstrated proficiency as a Tax Advisor. He noted Nazrul’s dedication to the development of the Thakurgaon District Association during his tenure as General Secretary.

“I express my deep condolences to the bereaved family members of Advocate Md. Nazrul Islam upon his death. I pray that Almighty Allah grants him Jannah (Paradise) and gives his family the strength to bear this loss,” the BNP leader said.

He also prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to Nazrul’s family, relatives, well‑wishers, and admirers.

Advocate Md. Nazrul Islam passed away this afternoon at Green Life Hospital in Dhaka.
