Dhaka, May 25 (V7N)- The main congregation of Eid-ul-Azha will be held at 7:30 am at the National Eidgah Ground, with President Md. Shahabuddin and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman scheduled to attend.
Dhaka South City Corporation Administrator Mohammad Abdus Salam shared the information on Monday morning (May 25) after inspecting the preparation activities at the National Eidgah Ground.
He said that in case of adverse weather conditions, the main Eid congregation will be shifted to 8:00 am at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.
According to the administration, around 35,000 worshippers are expected to join the main Eid prayer at the National Eidgah. For smooth entry and exit, four gates will be used for entry and seven gates will be used for exit.
The DSCC administrator also stated that all preparations for cleanliness and sanitation have been completed. He said that sacrificial animal waste will be removed within eight hours after Eid prayers.
He urged city residents to dispose of sacrificial waste in designated spots instead of dumping it into drains, warning that proper waste management is essential to maintain public hygiene during the Eid period.
