Dhaka, May 27 (V7N)- The main congregation of Eid-ul-Azha will be held at 7:30 am on Wednesday (May 27) at the National Eidgah Maidan in Dhaka under the management of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).

The grand Eid congregation will be attended by President Md. Shahabuddin, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, members of the Council of Ministers, judges, senior government officials, and foreign diplomats.

Mufti Muhammad Abdul Malek, Khatib of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, will lead the main Eid prayer. Around 35,000 worshippers are expected to participate.

Of them, arrangements have been made for 250 VIPs and 80 women in designated sections. Separate spaces have been allocated for approximately 31,000 male worshippers and 3,500 female worshippers.

Security and logistical arrangements have been completed, including fire safety measures, first aid services, mobile toilets, rainwater drainage systems, and waterproof coverings to ensure smooth conduct of the congregation.

Four entry gates and seven exit gates have been arranged, with designated access routes for VIPs, male worshippers, and female worshippers.

Authorities also said that if the Eid congregation cannot be held at the National Eidgah due to adverse weather conditions, the main prayer will instead take place at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque at 8:00 am.
