Dhaka, May 27 (V7N)- The holy Eid-ul-Azha, one of the largest religious festivals of Muslims, will be celebrated in the country on Thursday (May 27), with five separate Eid congregations scheduled at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in Dhaka.
The first Eid congregation will be held at 7:00 am, led by Senior Pesh Imam Hafez Maulana Mufti Md. Mizanur Rahman. Mosque muezzin Qari Ishaq will serve as the mukabbir.
The second congregation will take place at 8:00 am, led by Dr. Maulana Waliur Rahman Khan, Director (Routine Duties) of the Zakat Fund Department under the Islamic Foundation. Md. Nasir Ullah, Chief Custodian of the mosque, will act as mukabbir.
At 9:00 am, the third congregation will be led by Mufti Md. Abdullah, with Md. Ruhul Amin serving as mukabbir.
The fourth congregation is scheduled for 10:00 am, led by Maulana Mohammad Nur Uddin, Deputy Director (Additional Duty) of the Religious Invitation and Culture Department of the Islamic Foundation. Md. Abdul Hadi will perform mukabbir duties.
The fifth and final congregation will be held at 10:45 am, led by Zubair Ahmed Al-Azhari, religious instructor at the Imam Training Academy. Md. Amir Hossain will act as mukabbir.
Authorities also stated that if any designated imam is unavailable for a session, Md. Shahidul Islam, Assistant Librarian of the Islamic Foundation, will serve as alternate imam, while Md. Shamsul Haque will act as alternate mukabbir.
