On January 11, 2024, a Thursday, the cabinet members of the newly constituted Awami League government took the oath of office at the Bangabhaban.

On Thursday, a new cabinet was sworn in and its members were assigned ministries.

This time, there are multiple modifications to the duties of state ministers and ministers of ministry among the 37 members.

The new faces are listed as follows:

Ministers

Md Mahbub Ali was replaced as minister of civil aviation and tourism by Lt Col Muhammad Faruk Khan.

Mustafa Kamal will be replaced as the new finance minister by Abul Hasan Mahmud Ali.

Dr. AK Abdul Momen was replaced as minister of foreign affairs by Dr. Hasan Mahmud.

Dr Dipu Moni has been shifted to the Ministry of Social Welfare while Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury was given the charge of the Ministry of Education. Before, he served as the deputy minister.

Zahid Maleque will be replaced as health minister by Dr. Samanta Lal Sen.

Dr. Abdur Razzaque was replaced as minister of agriculture by Md. Abdus Shahid.

In charge as the minister of housing and public works was Obaidul Muktadir Chowdhury.

SM Rezaul Karim was replaced as minister of fisheries and livestock by Md Abdur Rahman.

As the new minister of public administration, Forhad Hossain took over.

Saifuzzaman Chowdhury was replaced as minister of land by Narayan Chandra.

MA Mannan was replaced as the minister of planning by Abdus Salam.

Golam Dastagir Gazi will be replaced as the minister of textiles and jute by Jahangir Kabir Nanak.

In charge of the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock will be Md. Abdur Rahman.

Shahab Uddin will be replaced at the Ministry of Environment, Forests, and Climate Change by Saber Hossain Chowdhury.

State ministers

Fazilatun Nessa Indira will be replaced as state minister for women and children affairs by Begum Simeen Hussain Rimi.

Dr. Hasan Mahmud will be replaced as state minister for information and broadcasting by Muhammad A. Arafat.

As the state minister in charge of disaster management and relief, Md. Mohibur Rahman would assume leadership.

As the state minister in charge of affairs pertaining to the Chittagong Hill Tracts, Kujendra Lal Tripura will take over.

Md Zakir Hossain will be replaced as state minister for primary and mass education by Begum Rumana Ali.

Imran Ahmad will be replaced as state minister for the welfare of expatriates and foreign jobs by Shafiqur Rahaman Chowdhury.

As the state minister for trade, Ahsanul Islam Titu will be in charge.

Along with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, this cabinet will consist of 25 ministries and 11 state ministers. This time, two technocrat ministers will be among them.
