Dhaka, Jul 03 (V7N) — Chief of Army Staff General Waqar-uz-Zaman has returned to Bangladesh following his official visit to the Czech Republic and Slovakia, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a press release on Friday.
According to the ISPR, the Army Chief held meetings with senior defense and military officials of both countries to strengthen bilateral defense relations and expand military cooperation.
During the visit, General Waqar-uz-Zaman also toured various military institutions and defense industrial establishments to gain insights into their capabilities and explore opportunities for future collaboration.
The ISPR noted that the official visit began on June 28, when the Army Chief departed for the Czech Republic and Slovakia as part of efforts to enhance defense ties and cooperation between Bangladesh and the two European nations.
