Dhaka, Jul 15 (V7N)- Students have launched a nationwide protest demanding the resignation of Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon following the completion of their HSC examinations.

According to their pre-announced schedule, students gathered after 1:30 pm on Wednesday (July 15) and staged a demonstration in front of BNS Center in Uttara, Dhaka. During the protest, they blocked the Airport-Dhaka-Mymensingh highway, causing disruption to traffic movement on the important route.

The protesting students said they would continue their movement until their demands are fulfilled.

Meanwhile, law enforcement agencies have taken positions at the protest site with water cannons. Police officials said they are monitoring the situation and do not want any confrontation with the students.

Earlier on Tuesday (July 14), students blocked several locations in the capital protesting the continuation of HSC examinations amid heavy rain and waterlogging. Following that protest, they raised the demand for the resignation of Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon.
