Dhaka, Aug 06 (V7N)- The July Uprising Memorial Museum has officially opened its doors to the public from 11:00 am on Thursday, welcoming visitors on its first day of regular operations.
Large crowds gathered at the museum from the morning to purchase tickets directly from the counter. Many visitors said the museum would not only preserve the history and memories of the July Uprising but also stand as a reminder that authoritarianism has no place in Bangladesh.
Although Prime Minister Tarique Rahman formally inaugurated the museum on Wednesday, it was opened to general visitors a day later.
According to the authorities, the museum will remain open daily from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm, while on Fridays it will operate from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
A maximum of 900 visitors will be allowed each day. Entry has been divided into three time slots, with up to 300 visitors permitted in each session. The slots are 11:00 am–1:00 pm, 1:00 pm–3:00 pm, and 4:00 pm–6:00 pm.
The admission fee has been fixed at Tk 50 for adults and Tk 20 for children.
Visitors can purchase tickets directly at the museum or reserve their preferred entry slot online through the official website.
