Dhaka, Aug 13 (V7N)- The online e-bail bond system has been introduced in 12 more districts in the fourth phase to reduce the backlog of cases and make the bail process easier, faster and more transparent.

Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Md. Asaduzzaman officially inaugurated the system in the new 12 districts at the Bangladesh Secretariat on Thursday morning.

With the latest expansion, the digital e-bail bond system is now available in a total of 28 districts across the country.

The Law Minister said the government is giving utmost importance to ensuring speedy justice through mediation and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) outside the courts alongside the introduction of the e-bail bond system.

He also said a plan has been taken to provide special awards to encourage districts that perform better in judicial activities and achieve notable success in reducing the backlog of cases.
