Dhaka, Sep 08 (V7N)- Water Resources Minister Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie has alleged that Nasiruddin Patwari and Sifat have been targeting Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and the Zia family with obscene remarks and abusive language while presenting themselves as supporters of the opposition.
He claimed that such statements constitute criminal offenses.
The minister made the remarks at a discussion meeting held Tuesday (September 8) morning as part of a nine-day book fair organized by Zia Smriti Pathagar at Bangla Academy.
Annie called on leaders and activists of Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal to protest against individuals using obscene and abusive language at universities across the country.
He also alleged that the opposition is preparing for a one-point movement in December in line with what he described as fascist forces.
The Water Resources Minister said even the fascist forces had not shown as much courage as the “secret forces” are displaying through their statements. He urged Chhatra Dal leaders and activists to remain vigilant against such forces by considering lessons from the past.
