During a press conference held at Ganabhaban, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina called upon the international community to take a stand against all forms of aggression and atrocities, emphasizing the need to reject war. She specifically highlighted ongoing crises in Palestine, Myanmar, and the Rohingya issue, urging global cooperation to address these pressing issues.

The Prime Minister's remarks came as she detailed her recent visit to Thailand, which took place from April 24 to 29. During her visit, she attended the 80th session of UN-Escape at the invitation of Thai Prime Minister Sretha Thavisin. Upon her arrival in Bangkok, Prime Minister Hasina received a warm welcome, including a red carpet reception, guard of honor, and gun salute.

Although Prime Minister Hasina was unable to attend the inaugural function of the UN-Escape session due to prior commitments in Bangladesh, a pre-recorded video message from her was showcased during the opening ceremony.

During the session, Prime Minister Hasina delivered a speech focusing on the achievement of the United Nations Agenda 2030 and Sustainable Development Goals through enhanced cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region. She underscored Bangladesh's significant development experience and expressed readiness to share development models with other countries in the region.

Prime Minister Hasina also held discussions with Armida Salsian Alisjahbana, UN Under-Secretary-General and Executive Secretary of UN-Escape, emphasizing the importance of mutual cooperation between South Asian and Southeast Asian countries.

Following her six-day official visit, Prime Minister Hasina returned home on April 29. During her visit, she engaged in a bilateral meeting with Thai Prime Minister Sretha Thavisin, resulting in the signing of five bilateral documents covering various areas of cooperation, including visa waivers, energy cooperation, tourism, customs issues, and free trade agreement negotiations.
