Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina reviewed the draft of the documentary titled "Mujib in Calcutta," which highlights the period Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman spent in Kolkata. The review took place at her official residence, Ganabhaban, this morning.
Kolkata played a significant role in Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's life, as he spent four years there starting in 1942 while studying at Islamia College (now Maulana Azad College).
The documentary, produced by acclaimed Indian filmmaker Goutam Ghose, focuses on various aspects of Bangabandhu's life in Kolkata. It covers his studies at Islamia College, his time at Bekar Hostel, his participation in the Calcutta University student movement, and his activities on Alimuddin Street, including his speeches at Brigade Maidan.
PM's Deputy Press Secretary KM Shakhawat Moon stated that the prime minister reviewed the documentary and provided her feedback and necessary instructions to those involved in its production.
