Climate-resilient houses designed by Brac provided shelter to more than 1,000 people during Cyclone Remal. These two-story houses, part of the "Amar Ghor Amar Ashroy" project, offer safe havens for families and their livestock during disasters. The houses, yet to be officially inaugurated, have already proved invaluable, with features like solar systems and gender-specific rooms. The project, adopted by the government, aims to mitigate the effects of climate change on vulnerable coastal communities.
