Financial Donation Checks Distributed to Buddhist Monasteries from the Prime Minister's Relief and Welfare Fund and the Buddhist Religious Trust
Khagrachari, June 28 (V7N)- Around 4 PM at the Khagrachari Indigenous Cultural Institute, an event organized by the Ministry of Religious Affairs Buddhist Religious Welfare Trust, Khagrachari district, distributed financial donation checks to Buddhist monasteries in various upazilas of Khagrachari Hill District on the occasion of the auspicious Buddha Purnima. These funds were received from the Prime Minister's Relief and Welfare Fund and the Buddhist Religious Trust's own fund.
The check distribution ceremony was presided over by Rupna Chakma, trustee of the Buddhist Religious Welfare Trust in Khagrachari district. The chief guest at the event was Kujendra Lal Tripura MP, State Minister for the Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs.
Following the ceremony, State Minister Kujendra Lal Tripura MP distributed financial donation checks amounting to 1.5 million Taka to 84 Buddhist monasteries in various upazilas of Khagrachari Hill District.
Special guests at the event included Khagrachari Municipality Mayor and General Secretary of the District Awami League Nirmalendu Chowdhury, Khagrachari Hill District Council members Ashutosh Chakma, Niro Utpal Khisa, Shatarupa Chakma, Kajri Marma, Shahina Akter, and Kalyan Mitra Barua, among others.
