Dhaka, August 5 - President Md. Sahabuddin addressed the nation on Monday evening, announcing the dissolution of Parliament and the formation of an interim government as per constitutional provisions. The President emphasized that this interim government will oversee a swift and fair election process.

In his address, President Sahabuddin declared the imminent release of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and all other detainees. He called for unity, urging citizens to move forward without harboring any desire for revenge.

The President also assured the nation that compensation will be provided to the families of those who lost their lives in the recent student movement, and adequate medical treatment will be arranged for the injured. He instructed law enforcement agencies to take stringent measures to protect the lives and property of citizens, as well as state assets.

Highlighting the importance of maintaining communal harmony, President Sahabuddin urged everyone to ensure the security of minority communities and safeguard government resources. He called on all sectors to work together to keep the country's economy, administration, industries, and factories running smoothly during this transitional period.
