Dhaka, Aug 06 (V7N) - The Bangladesh Army has announced a significant reshuffle at its highest levels. Major General Ziaul Ahsan has been removed from his position, and Lt General M Saiful Islam has been reassigned to the Foreign Ministry, according to a press release from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Tuesday.
 
In the shake-up, several key appointments have been made:
 
Lt General Md Majibur Rahman is now the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Army Training and Doctrine Command.
Lt General Ahmed Tabrez Shams Chowdhury has been appointed as the Master General of the Army Quarter.
Lt General Mizanur Rahman Shameem will serve as the Chief of General Staff.
Lt General Mohammad Shaheenul Haque has been designated as the Commandant of the National Defence College (NDC).
Major General ASM Ridwanur Rahman has been named the Director General of the National Telecommunication Monitoring Centre (NTMC).
These changes mark a notable shift in the Army's top leadership and are expected to influence the strategic direction of the military.
