Dhaka, August 6 — The chiefs of the Army, Navy, and Air Force convened at Bangabhaban on Tuesday evening to discuss the formation of an interim government and address the current national situation. The meeting commenced at 7:40 PM, following the arrival of a 13-member delegation from the anti-discrimination student movement.

Among those present at the meeting were Professor Asif Nazrul from Dhaka University's Law Department and Professor Tanjimuddin from the International Relations Department. Nahid Islam, one of the key coordinators of the student movement, confirmed their attendance at the discussion.

In a statement, Nahid Islam indicated that the delegation was meeting with the President and the military chiefs to deliberate on the country's current state and the structure of a proposed interim government. He promised to provide more details following the discussions.

Earlier in the day, the anti-discrimination student movement released a video message outlining their proposal for an interim government. In this outline, they suggested Nobel laureate Dr. Muhammad Yunus serve as the chief adviser, highlighting their vision for a transitional government during this pivotal period.
