Dhaka, August 24 — In response to the sudden and severe flooding affecting multiple districts, the Bangladesh Police has initiated a series of relief efforts to assist flood victims. Under the directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md. Moinul Islam, the police have been actively involved in distributing relief materials, providing medical services, conducting rescue operations, and setting up help desks across the affected regions.
On Saturday, police teams distributed dry and cooked food, baby food, daily necessities, medicines, and saline solutions to the displaced populations in various locations, including Comilla, Feni, Noakhali, and Laxmipur. Both the Naval Police and District Police are engaged in these efforts, focusing on delivering relief supplies and conducting rescue operations in the flood-affected areas.
The Naval Police are using speedboats, country boats, and other watercraft to evacuate people from flooded zones, demonstrating their commitment to saving lives and providing immediate support.
The Bangladesh Police has been actively supporting flood victims since the recent flooding began and will continue these relief activities until the situation returns to normal. Their efforts underscore the police force's dedication to community service and public safety during times of crisis.
