Khagrachari, Aug 25 (V7N) - Due to continuous rainfall over the past few days and the resulting mountain runoff, several areas have been submerged under water.

Brigadier General Md. Raisul Islam, the Commander of the 24 Artillery Brigade’s Guimara Region, responsible for maintaining law and order in Khagrachari, visited these flood-affected areas.

This morning, after inspecting different locations such as Hajipara, Amtali Para, Boropilak, and Hafchhari in Guimara Upazila, the Regional Commander distributed food supplies to over a hundred local families.

During his visit, Brigadier General Md. Raisul Islam stated that army personnel under the Guimara Region have been continuously distributing food supplies and rescuing people stranded in flood-affected areas.

He emphasized that in addition to their law enforcement duties, the Bangladesh Army has always stood by the people during any disaster and will continue to do so in the future.

Major Khaled Mohammad Salauddin, B.M., Major Miam Saiful Islam, G.2.I., and other senior military officials from the region were present during the event.
