Dhaka, August 26 – President Sahabuddin has called on all citizens to support the flood-affected people of Bangladesh with whatever resources they can provide. He made this appeal while exchanging Janmashtami greetings with the Hindu community at Bangabhaban on Monday morning.
During the event, which was attended by invited guests from the Hindu community as well as high commissioners from various embassies, the President shared his concerns about the current flood situation affecting the country. In his address, he highlighted the dire conditions in which people in 11 districts are living due to the ongoing floods. He urged the nation to step forward and assist the flood victims, alongside government efforts, in whatever capacity they can.
President Sahabuddin also emphasized the importance of communal harmony, describing it as a unique feature of Bangladesh. He reaffirmed that the constitution guarantees equal rights to all citizens and encouraged everyone to set aside their differences to help move the country forward together.
The President's call to action and message of unity was warmly received by the audience, reflecting the spirit of Janmashtami—a time of joy, devotion, and community solidarity.
