Dhaka, August 31- The Police Headquarters has issued a warning to its officers to be vigilant against scams involving fraudulent postings. The appeal was made through a press release signed by Inamul Haque Sagar, the Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Media and Public Relations at Police Headquarters, on Saturday.
According to the press release, there have been reports of a gang targeting police personnel by extorting money under the pretext of securing postings in various units. The Police Headquarters has urged all officers to remain alert and cautious to avoid falling victim to such scams.
The notice further mentioned that a special operation is currently underway to apprehend the fraudulent individuals involved in these schemes. The Police Headquarters reassured its officers that efforts are being intensified to track down and arrest these criminals, emphasizing the importance of adhering to official channels for any matters related to postings.
The warning comes amid reports of increased fraudulent activities targeting police officers, highlighting the need for heightened awareness and caution among the law enforcement community.
