Dhaka, Sept 04 (V7N): In response to the devastating floods in southeastern Bangladesh, Qatar Charity has provided crucial humanitarian aid to 180,000 individuals severely impacted by the disaster. Essential food supplies were distributed across the Noakhali district, with a focus on the most vulnerable, including families with children, the elderly, and those with disabilities.

The relief packages included vital food items such as rice, flattened rice, cooking oil, salt, sugar, lentils, biscuits, potatoes, and bottled water, according to a press release from Qatar Charity’s Dhaka office. This immediate support has been pivotal for those who lost their homes and livelihoods due to the flooding.

The distribution was carried out in coordination with local authorities to ensure that the aid reached the neediest efficiently. Local residents expressed deep gratitude for Qatar Charity's timely intervention, while local officials praised the organization's swift and effective response.

Kaniz Fatema, UNO of Shinaimuri Upazila, who participated in the relief distribution, highlighted the significant impact of Qatar Charity’s efforts, noting that the aid has not only provided immediate relief but also rekindled hope within the affected communities.
