Dhaka, Sep 09 (V7N)- Golam Rabbani has been appointed as the new Secretary of the Law and Justice Department, while Ghulam Sarwar, the outgoing Secretary, has been removed from his post and attached to the same department. The Ministry of Law issued two separate orders on Sunday, confirming these changes.

Golam Rabbani, who previously served as the Joint Secretary of the Law and Justice Department, brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He began his career as an Assistant Judge in 1994 after being selected through the 13th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) batch. Over the years, Rabbani has held several important positions, including District and Sessions Judge of Chittagong and Registrar General of the Bangladesh Supreme Court.

In 2016, he was promoted to the rank of District and Sessions Judge, further solidifying his reputation within the judiciary. His latest appointment is expected to strengthen the leadership within the Law and Justice Department.

The transition marks a significant reshuffle within the department, as Ghulam Sarwar's removal and reassignment take place amid broader efforts to streamline administrative functions within the ministry.
