"The BNP no longer has any hope. The BNP believed that their international allies would support them. The general secretary of AL said, "Their hope is completely diminished."

The general secretary of the ruling Awami League (AL) in Bangladesh, Obaidul Quader, the minister of road transport and bridges. He stated on Thursday that the continuing internal crisis in Myanmar has reinforced Bangladesh's position on its border.

He made these remarks during a news conference on Thursday afternoon at the AL's headquarters office on Bangabandhu Avenue in this city: "We are not liberally opening our border and we will not give this scope to anyone."

According to Quader, Bangladesh's Ministry of Foreign Affairs would write to the United Nations (UN) to express its worries on the situation in Myanmar.

He said that personnel of the Myanmar army and border guard were among those who escaped to Bangladesh.

The general secretary of the AL said that there is no other option except to bring the Myanmar nationals back, and the ambassador of Myanmar to Bangladesh was called.

"We are unable to sustain anxiety at our border. Our foreign ministry is in operation and will be writing a letter to the UN. The rage of the Myanmar situation has extended to India as well. Right now, our foreign minister is still in India. Important discussions have taken place with India in the interim. The border problem with Myanmar is another," he stated.

Regarding the BNP's claim that Bangladesh is currently in danger of being caught in the crossfire, Quader stated that the BNP is now misguided since US President Joe Biden has promised to cooperate with Bangladesh.

The French President also delivered a message, according to British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

"The BNP no longer has any hope. The BNP believed that their international allies would support them. The general secretary of AL said, "Their hope is completely diminished."

According to the minister of road transport, the BNP could not have predicted that their movement would be so unsuccessful.

The BNP leaders thought that if their movement can be advanced a bit, their foreigner friends will move forward and will help topple the Sheikh Hasina government, he said, but their hopes have fallen flat.

Responding to a question about the Rohingyas staying in Bangladesh, Quader said when BNP was in power, it allowed Rohingyas first to come to Bangladesh.

"Have they lost sight of their past? It is they who provided the Rohingyas with the chance. Everyone, even the UN, has praised what our leader Bangabandhu's daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina achieved to achieve this," he declared.

Among those in attendance were Central Committee Member Sahabuddin Faraji, Deputy Office Sayem Khan, Office Secretary Biplab Barua, Organizing Secretary BM Mozammel Haque, and AL Joint General Secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim.
