Dhaka, Sep 09 (V7N) – For the first time this year, the number of daily dengue cases has exceeded 600, prompting experts to call for immediate action to control the outbreak.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), 615 new dengue patients were hospitalised in the last 24 hours, and one additional death was reported, raising the total death toll to 97. The cumulative number of dengue cases has now reached 16,285, with 9,198 of those cases reported outside Dhaka.

Currently, 1,642 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country due to dengue.
