Dhaka, Mar 09 (V7N) –The price of gold has been reduced by Tk1,038 per gram in the country's market.
In a press release on Saturday, the Bangladesh Jewelers Association (Bajus) announced the reduction in gold prices.
On Tuesday, the price of gold had been increased by a maximum of Tk3,557 per gram. As a result, the price of 22-carat gold per gram had risen to Tk151,900.
On February 20, the price of gold had reached Tk154,525 per gram.
According to the new prices, the cost of hallmark 22-carat gold per gram will be Tk150,862, 21-carat gold will be Tk144,004, and 18-carat gold will be Tk123,429.
Additionally, the price of traditional gold will be reduced to Tk101,640 per gram.
Therefore, starting Sunday, the price of 22-carat gold will decrease by Tk1,038 per gram, 21-carat by Tk991, 18-carat by Tk851, and traditional gold by Tk735.
