Dhaka, Mar 19 (V7N) – The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has reduced gold prices in the local market, lowering the rate of 22-carat gold by Tk 7,640 per bhori.

According to a notification issued on Thursday morning, the new prices came into effect from 10:00 am. Under the revised rates, 22-carat gold now costs Tk 2,54,625 per bhori (11.664 grams).

The price of 21-carat gold has been set at Tk 2,43,200 per bhori, while 18-carat gold is priced at Tk 2,08,320 per bhori. The rate for traditional (sanatan) gold stands at Tk 1,69,653 per bhori.

BAJUS has also reduced silver prices. The new rate for 22-carat silver is Tk 5,715 per bhori. Additionally, 21-carat silver is priced at Tk 5,482 per bhori, 18-carat silver at Tk 4,666 per bhori, and traditional silver at Tk 3,499 per bhori.
