Dhaka, July 18 (V7N) — Residents across Dhaka have faced significant mobile internet disruptions since Tuesday night, with the situation worsening on Wednesday afternoon. These disruptions have impacted a range of activities, from social media use to digital transactions.
 
Voice7 News spoke with numerous residents from various parts of the capital who expressed their frustration over the slow internet speeds. Many reported difficulties in using Facebook, Messenger, and other messaging apps.
 
"My mobile internet has been incredibly slow since noon. I can't even load basic apps or perform any digital transactions," said a resident of Dhanmondi.
 
The issue extended to Dhaka University (DU) as well, where internet services have been disrupted since midday. Voice7 News Correspondent on the DU campus experienced significant challenges due to the slow internet speeds. "We faced obstacles in live broadcasting and sending video footage from the spot," one reporter noted, mentioning that they had to resort to alternative measures to continue their coverage.
 
The cause of the internet disruptions remains unclear, and service providers have yet to issue a statement. The disruptions have caused widespread inconvenience and frustration among users across the capital.
