Dhaka, Oct 25 (V7N)- The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecasted a decrease in rainfall across the country along with a slight increase in temperature. The latest bulletin indicates that severe cyclone 'Dana,' currently centered in North Odisha and nearby areas, is weakening as it moves north-northwest, first becoming a cyclone and then a deep depression, where it is expected to remain.

As the depression shifts west-northwest, it will continue to weaken gradually. This weakening cyclone is still expected to bring gusty winds over the North Bay of Bengal, Bangladesh’s coastal areas, and sea ports.

In this context, the Met Office forecasts a slight rise in both day and night temperatures across the country on Saturday. Some regions, specifically in Rajshahi, Khulna, Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Barisal, Chittagong, and Sylhet divisions, may experience scattered rain with thunder.

Temperatures on Sunday and Monday are likely to remain relatively stable, with weather across the country expected to stay mostly dry under partly cloudy skies.
