Dhaka, Jan 30 (V7N) – The extension of the subcontinental high-pressure area is currently situated over Bihar and its surrounding areas, influencing Bangladesh's weather conditions, according to the Meteorological Department’s latest 72-hour forecast issued on Thursday (January 30) at 9 AM.

Light Rain Expected in Some Areas

Due to this weather system, there is a possibility of light rain or drizzle in one or two places across the Mymensingh, Dhaka, and Sylhet divisions, including the Comilla region. However, the weather is expected to remain mainly dry with temporarily partly cloudy skies in other parts of the country.

Temperature Updates

  • The country's lowest temperature was recorded at 9.5°C in Tentulia.
  • Night temperatures in the Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions are expected to remain mostly unchanged, while other parts of the country may experience a 1-2°C increase at night.
  • Daytime temperatures are likely to rise across the country.

Upcoming Weather Conditions

  • On Friday (January 31), light rain or drizzle may occur in one or two places in Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions, including Comilla and Kishoreganj regions.
  • On Saturday (February 1), the weather is expected to be mainly dry with partly cloudy skies.
  • Light to moderate fog may form in different parts of the country from late night to early morning.
