Dhaka, July 4 (V7N) — The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast stormy weather over seven districts today, with river ports instructed to remain alert.

According to the latest weather bulletin for inland river ports, issued for Friday (July 4) between 10 am and 6 pm, rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally winds are expected over parts of the country.

The forecast indicates that winds from the south/southwest may reach speeds of 45 to 60 kilometers per hour over the Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong, and Cox’s Bazar regions.

In light of this, river ports in these districts have been asked to hoist cautionary signal number one.
