Dhaka, Aug 21 (V7N) – The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has maintained local warning signal number three at all seaports due to the influence of active monsoon winds over the North Bay of Bengal.
According to a warning issued on Thursday (August 21), circulating clouds are forming in the Bay, which may cause gusty or squally winds to sweep over coastal areas and seaports.
As a precaution, the ports of Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla, and Payra have been instructed to hoist cautionary signal number three.
The Met Office also advised fishing boats and trawlers operating in the North Bay to proceed toward the coast and remain cautious until further notice.
