Meanwhile, in a separate advisory, the Met Office said that under the influence of active monsoon winds, circulating clouds continue to form over the North Bay of Bengal. As a result, gusty or squally winds may sweep across the North Bay, coastal areas of Bangladesh and adjoining seaports.

The country’s seaports at Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been asked to display local warning signal number 3. Fishing boats and trawlers in the North Bay have also been advised to proceed cautiously and remain close to the coast until further notice.
