Dhaka, Oct 03 (V7N) – The capital Dhaka and much of the country woke up to cloudy skies and drizzle on Friday morning, as the impact of a low-pressure system in the Bay of Bengal continues.

Since dawn, the sky over Dhaka has been covered with thick clouds, with rain beginning shortly after daybreak. The Meteorological Department has forecast intermittent light to moderate rainfall across most parts of the country in the coming days.

According to the Met Office, the deep depression remains active over the Bay, likely to trigger rain and thunderstorms nationwide for the next 3 to 4 days.

A warning has also been issued for possible storms, with wind speeds reaching up to 60 kilometers per hour in nine districts, including Dhaka, Faridpur, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong, and Cox’s Bazar.

Meanwhile, with the cloudy weather falling on the weekend, traffic in Dhaka appeared lighter than usual. However, many commuters complained about transport shortages, adding to public grievances despite the relatively cooler weather.
