Dhaka, Jan 03 (V7N)- The Meteorological Department has forecast that moderate to dense fog may persist over Dhaka and its surrounding areas until noon today, while daytime temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged.

According to the weather forecast issued at 7:00 am on Saturday, valid for the next six hours, the sky over Dhaka and nearby regions may remain temporarily partly cloudy until noon. The weather is expected to stay dry during this period, though foggy conditions may reduce visibility.

The forecast also mentioned that light winds may blow from the west and northwest at speeds ranging between 6 and 12 kilometres per hour.

The temperature in Dhaka was recorded at 13 degrees Celsius at 6:00 am today. The city’s maximum temperature yesterday stood at 20.4 degrees Celsius, while today’s minimum temperature was recorded at 12.7 degrees Celsius. No rainfall has been recorded in the region over the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the sunset in Dhaka today will occur at 5:24 pm, and sunrise tomorrow (Sunday) is expected at 6:42 am, the Meteorological Department added.
