Dhaka, Mar 09 (V7N) – The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast gusty winds of up to 60 km/h accompanied by rain or thunderstorms in three districts of the country.

According to a warning issued for inland river ports until 1:00 pm Monday, temporary gusty or stormy winds with speeds of 45–60 kilometers per hour may sweep over Chittagong District, Mymensingh District and Sylhet District from the west or northwest direction.

The notification, signed by meteorologist Md. Toriful Newaz Kabir, said rain or thundershowers may also occur during this period. River ports in the affected areas have been instructed to hoist warning signal number 1.

Meanwhile, another BMD bulletin stated that temporary gusty winds, rain, or thunderstorms may occur in a few places across all divisions of the country until 6:00 pm today.

The weather office also indicated that the trend of rainfall may continue over the next few days.
