Dhaka, Apr 26 (V7N)- The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast temporary gusty or stormy winds across several regions of the country, with wind speeds reaching 60 to 80 kilometers per hour. Authorities have advised inland river ports in the affected areas to hoist warning signal number 2.

In a weather bulletin issued for inland river ports from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm on Sunday (April 26), the BMD said that rain or thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds may occur over parts of the country.

The regions likely to be affected include Rangpur, Dinajpur, Tangail, Mymensingh, Bogra, and Sylhet.

The department has instructed river ports in these regions to display warning signal No. 2 (re), urging vessels and river users to remain cautious during this period.

Meteorologists have advised people, especially those in riverine areas, to stay alert and follow safety guidelines to avoid potential risks from sudden storms.
