Dhaka, Apr 29 (V7N) — After a night of dense cloud cover, the capital Dhaka was hit by heavy rainfall before dawn on Wednesday, causing widespread disruption to morning activities.
While the sudden downpour brought some relief from the heat, it created significant difficulties for commuters. Office-goers, students, and daily workers faced the brunt of the পরিস্থিতি as many were caught unprepared.
Numerous people who left their homes without umbrellas were soaked and forced to take shelter in nearby shops and buildings. Even those carrying umbrellas struggled to stay dry, as rainwater drenched their clothes, shoes, and lower garments, making travel uncomfortable.
Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department has warned that gusty winds of up to 60 kilometers per hour may sweep across parts of the country by noon. The forecast also indicates the possibility of further rain or thunderstorms.
Authorities have advised residents to remain cautious and take necessary precautions as unstable weather conditions are expected to persist throughout the day.
