Dhaka, July 29 (V7N)- The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has warned that gusty winds accompanied by rain or thunderstorms may affect nine districts of the country by noon on Wednesday.
According to a weather warning issued for the country's inland river ports, temporary gusty or squally winds with speeds of 45 to 60 kilometers per hour may sweep across the regions of Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Mymensingh and Sylhet.
The Met Office said the winds are likely to blow from the south or southeast and may be accompanied by rain or thunderstorms.
In its warning, valid from 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the Meteorological Department advised all inland river ports in the affected regions to display Local Cautionary Signal No. 1.
