Dhaka, July 31 (V7N)- The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast light rain and cloudy skies in Dhaka and its surrounding areas, while confirming that no warning or cautionary signals have been issued for inland river ports across the country.
According to the six-hour weather forecast issued from 7:00 am on Friday (July 31), the sky over Dhaka is expected to remain mostly cloudy with the possibility of light rainfall. Winds may blow from the south or southeast at speeds of 8 to 12 kilometers per hour, and daytime temperatures are likely to rise slightly.
At 6:00 am, the temperature in the capital was recorded at 27.4 degrees Celsius, with relative humidity at 88 percent. The highest temperature recorded in Dhaka on Thursday was 30.4 degrees Celsius, while the lowest temperature on Friday stood at 26.4 degrees Celsius. The city received 10 millimeters of rainfall during the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the BMD's inland river port forecast valid until 1:00 pm stated that no warning has been issued for any river port in the country, and no cautionary signal is required to be displayed.
