Dhaka, Aug 20 (V7N)- Cloudy skies accompanied by rain and thunderstorms are likely in Dhaka and its adjoining areas, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.
The weather office issued the forecast for the six hours from 7am on Thursday (August 20), saying rain or thundershowers may occur in the capital and surrounding areas by noon.
According to the forecast, winds may blow from the south or southwest at a speed of 10 to 15 kilometers per hour in Dhaka and nearby areas.
The sky may remain temporarily cloudy to cloudy during the period. Rain or thundershowers are likely, while the day temperature may rise slightly.
Meanwhile, Dhaka recorded a temperature of 28.3 degrees Celsius at 6am on Thursday. The relative humidity was 89 percent at that time, according to the Meteorological Department.
The latest forecast comes amid continued monsoon activity across Bangladesh, with the weather office regularly warning of rain and thunderstorms in different parts of the country.
