Dhaka, Sep 12 (V7N)- The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast light to moderate rain or thundershowers in parts of all eight divisions across the country over the next 24 hours. Some areas may experience moderate to heavy rainfall, while day and night temperatures are likely to fall slightly.

The forecast, issued for the 24-hour period from 9:00am on Saturday (September 12), said the weather may remain partly cloudy to temporarily cloudy over Dhaka division.

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers, accompanied by temporary gusty winds, may occur in some parts of the division. Moderate to heavy rainfall is also possible at isolated locations.

The maximum temperature recorded in Dhaka yesterday was 35.5 degrees Celsius.

Similar weather conditions are expected in parts of Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh, Sylhet, Chattogram, Khulna and Barishal divisions. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers with temporary gusty winds may occur, while some areas could receive moderate to heavy rainfall.

The maximum temperatures recorded yesterday were 35.0°C in Rajshahi, 35.5°C in Rangpur, 34.6°C in Mymensingh, 34.6°C in Sylhet, 33.4°C in Chattogram, 33.3°C in Khulna and 33.5°C in Barishal.

The Meteorological Department said both daytime and nighttime temperatures may decrease slightly during the forecast period.
